NAM – L13-FI-1 Monotower PlatformMichel Jansen
Vageri is responsible for the E&I installation on the Monotower Platform L13-FI-1. The design was a copy of the existing L09-FA. The produced gas is exported via a 12″ pipeline to the K15-FA-1 platform. The platform is self-sufficient in energy consumption through a series of solar panels and two wind turbines. As a result, the diesel generator is no longer needed, which can be found on many platforms. Only part of the generated energy is needed to keep the platform operational. Excess energy is stored in batteries that are used at night time and during windless days. The platform is monitored and operated from land (Central Control Room in Den Helder).
Vageri has installed the complete E&I installation, which consisted of placing various control panels, terminal boxes, instruments, main and secondary cable routing, pulling and termination of cables and chemical / hydraulic tubing between Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) various valves for supply chemicals and open / closing the gas wells.
In addition to Mechanical Completion, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning was also done onshore as far as this was possible. By doing this in this sequence offshore activities could be kept to a minimum.
